FaceApp’s Google Play listing shows 500 million-plus downloads and 5.36 million reviews at the time of this check. Those figures describe its reach, not a measured accuracy advantage. The app advertises one-tap portrait edits and direct sharing, making it a straightforward option when your main goal is an edited picture.

Range is another reason to consider it. FaceApp advertises more than 60 filters, while its filter guide describes categories ranging from skin and hair to makeup and glasses. The published Easy Compare feature lets you check before and after during editing. Its store listing also describes sharing finished pictures directly to social accounts.

Facetune offers detailed manual control. Reshape, Refine and Resize support pinch adjustments, and its lip guide describes tools for refining lip lines and targeting specific areas. Its Lips controls cover Size, Height, Width and Intensity. The company also advertises whole-video retouching, and says one subscription covers its app and browser editor.

Where LookPrep is different

LookPrep answers a narrower question: what one named look, at one stated amount, might look like on your face, so there is something concrete to show an injector. The unit is a named look rather than a slider, and the looks are graded. Russian lips, Cupid's bow definition and natural enhancement are graded well-defined; cherry, keyhole, heart-shaped and butterfly are marked contested, and doll lips a marketing label.

Under the look sits a treatment and an amount: nine options with selectable preview values, 0.55 to 2.0 mL of Juvederm Volbella XC, up to 3.0 mL of Juvederm Ultra XC, 0.3 to 2.8 mL of RHA Redensity, and 4 or 6 units for a lip flip, a different treatment on a different scale that everts the upper lip instead of adding volume.

The output is a side-by-side set you carry into a consultation, not an image to post. It is a planning visual and not a predicted medical result, and it does not assess candidacy, prescribe a product, recommend a dose or replace a qualified provider.

What each product calls a lip

FaceApp does publish lip-editing capabilities. Its March 2026 creative guide includes a Lips filter with adjustable strength, and its Merge guide describes editing lips separately from other facial features. The broader filter guide is a category overview, not evidence that a lip tool is absent. These remain cosmetic photo controls rather than documented filler-dose settings.

Facetune goes considerably further, and a comparison that pretended otherwise would be wrong. It has a named Lips tool, reached through Retouch, then Face, then Lips, with four sliders: Size for volume, Height for vertical fullness, Width for horizontal spread, and Intensity for how natural or dramatic the effect runs. Its January 2025 guide is built around the phrases lip filler filter and lip injection filter, and speaks to readers who are "planning future enhancements" -- filler vocabulary, used by the company about its own product.

The reviewed FaceApp and Facetune guides do not attach those editing controls to millilitre amounts, neurotoxin units or named filler products. That is the relevant distinction here: their published controls alter a photo’s appearance, while LookPrep labels a preview with a selected look, treatment and amount. Absence from these guides is not proof that a feature can never be added.

FaceApp’s reviewed product and store pages describe iOS and Android apps, and do not document a browser editor.

Facetune announced its browser editor on 18 August 2026, describing a smaller toolset than the mobile app and one subscription for both. Its current FAQ also lists browser-based Retouch and Reshape, alongside background removal, makeup and hair try-on. Neither page specifically confirms the Lips control in the browser, so that capability remains unverified here.

LookPrep is web-first: any modern browser, no install, no account for the demo. Which of the three fits still comes down to which job you are doing.

Where your photo goes

FaceApp says selected photos are processed using Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services, encrypted with a key held on your device, and deleted within 24 to 48 hours after the last edit. Its policy describes an early-removal request under Support in app settings. It also states that photos and videos are used only to provide editing functionality. These are the company’s published practices, not an independent security audit.

Facetune’s FAQ describes local project storage, while Lightricks’ privacy policy separately covers cloud-processed effects and AI tools. Many uploads are retained for up to 30 days, with exceptions; outputs can remain until deletion is requested. Table B describes consent-based AI training and deletion of training data within two years after processing, unless longer legal retention is required. These feature-specific rules do not establish a universal 30-day limit for every Facetune image.

LookPrep requires an 18-plus gate and explicit photo-processing consent before any generation runs, and its privacy page states that we do not use uploaded faces to train LookPrep models. Share pages stay private until published, and deletion of stored image objects is requested at /delete-data.
