Who creates the guides
LookPrep publishes these guides under the organizational byline LookPrep Editorial. The byline does not imply a licensed medical author. We identify the organization because no individual clinician has accepted authorship or review responsibility for the current collection.
How research and drafting work
Query research starts with recurring pre-consultation questions and live result-page patterns. The initial collection was created with AI-assisted research, drafting, code generation, and review. Automation helps compare a large content set consistently; it is not treated as a medical source. Claims are checked against the linked regulator, health-system, or professional-society guidance, and independent review is used to look for unsupported claims, duplication, privacy regressions, and unsafe conversion placement.
Why the collection exists
The goal is to help people describe visual preferences, understand the limits of previews and online photos, and prepare better questions for a qualified consultation. Safety and recovery pages do not promote the preview tool. Content is not created to replace professional assessment or tell someone which treatment, product, amount, or provider to choose.
Source and update policy
Medical-adjacent claims prioritize regulators and established patient guidance from health systems and professional societies. Every guide displays its sources and updated date. Regulatory, product, and safety content is checked when source guidance changes. Our target cadence is at least annual review for every guide, with more frequent checks for safety-sensitive pages. A changed date must reflect a substantive review or edit.
Images and previews
Editorial cover images are original AI-generated still lifes, not clinical evidence or patient before-and-after photography. Product previews are illustrative planning images. Neither type of image demonstrates expected swelling, tissue response, risk, longevity, or a guaranteed result.
Corrections
We correct factual, sourcing, privacy, and safety errors when they are identified. Send the page URL, the statement in question, and a supporting source to [email protected]. We do not provide personal medical advice by email.
